Roofing and cladding material production plant in Nur-Sultan MetalFormer
Within the framework of implementation of the order of the Head of State K-Zh.K. Tokayev, the political course on import substitution, Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC is actively working to reduce the cost of 1 sq.m. of housing by launching plants for the production of domestic construction materials.
On 19 August 2022 on the territory of the special economic zone "Astana - New City" a capsule was laid on the site of construction of a plant for the production of roofing and facing materials in the city of Nur-Sultan.
Deputy Akim of Nur-Sultan city Bekmurzaev E.O., Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" JSC Aimanbetov M.Z., Chairman of the Board of "Astana Invest" State Investment Development Centre LLP Nigmatov A.M. and Head of "MetalFormer" LLP Saduakasov M.O. took part in the solemn ceremony.
Addressing the participants of the event, M.Z. Aimanbetov noted that the implementation of this project will cover more than 20% of the domestic market capacity with roofing and facade materials of domestic production, which were previously imported from Russia, China and Finland in finished form.
The project envisages production of up to 630,000 units of metal roofing elements per year and up to 2,200,000 units of cladding materials per year. About 70 jobs will be created when the plant starts operating. The duration of the plant construction is 12 months. More than 90 people will be involved in the construction process. Thus, the first output of domestic products is planned for September 2023.
