18 modern schools will be built in the Karaganda region as part of the national project
The director of the department for the implementation of the national project of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Yerbol Akhmetov and the head of the construction department Zhan Myrzagali paid a working visit to the Karaganda region. They got acquainted with the progress of preparing land plots for construction work, and also discussed problematic issues together with representatives of local authorities and contractors.
For some sections there are comments on the planting of schools, the general plan and the detailed plan. Contracting organizations were instructed to correct all shortcomings in the near future. It is also necessary to speed up the process of demolition of green spaces and the removal of heating networks and overhead power lines.
As part of the national project "Comfortable School" in the region, it is planned to build 18 secondary education facilities. The construction of 10 comfortable schools will begin this year. They will be put into operation by the end of 2024. The remaining 8 schools will open their doors in 2025.
Successful implementation of the national project will create 12.5 thousand additional student places throughout the region. It is important to note that after commissioning, all comfortable schools will be transferred to the balance of local executive bodies. This means that the new educational facilities will be public and education in them will be free.
